Kelly Bangert's Childhood on Welfare. Kelly grew up with a single mom, and an older brother and sister. They were very poor during his childhood and were on welfare and foodstamps for many years. He wore his brother's hand-me-down clothing and did not experience new clothes until he was sixteen with a job of his own.

Poverty Built His Character. Kelly believes that poverty helped to build his character.

1. It instilled in him a desire to have more out of life and to look for a better way.
2. He knew there was a better way out there.
3. He felt that it was up to him to find that opportunity and choose what to do with it.
4. In his gut, he knew he would have to decide how diligently and far to push his potential.
5. He had to make a choice of what he was willing to sacrifice.
6. He had to weigh his options and resolve what was he willing to do to make his life better.
7. The memory of childhood poverty pushed him to tenacious steadfastness.

He Traded Time for Money at First. Kelly started in the work force at a very young age. He had his first job when he was sixteen. By the time he was eighteen, we was working hard at two jobs. He set his sights higher, and at age twenty-one became a police officer. He knew there was a better way to make money, and so at age 23 he started his first company. By age 28, he had started a second company. His life was consumed with work. There was no time for anything else. And then tragedy struck. Kelly Bangert was injured in the line of duty and was medically retired from the police department.Kelly Bangert Reflected on His Life. After Kelly's retirement from Civil Service, he worked even longer hours to build his businesses. He worked relentlessly to trade hours for dollars. When he turned thirty, he took a moment to reflect on what his life had truly brought him. What had he gained for all he had forfeited?

• He had worked hard - but wasn't happy.
• He had "gotten ahead" - but he had lost all the years of his twenties.
• He had made money - but it didn't bring the promised happiness.
• He had given up his life - but had no time to spend with those he loved.

He Realized Time Was Priceless. As Kelly contemplated, he saw that the sacrifices he had chosen to make in his work and life had really changed him. What at first was important, no longer appealed to him. He had totally missed his twenties, and now what he wanted was "time." He discovered that money really wasn't that important to him anymore. What made him happy was having precious moments to be with people he liked, and to have time freedom to enjoy his life.

Kelly and Jill Bangert Make the MLM Decision. Kelly and his wife Jill were no longer willing to give up their lives toward something that didn't bring freedom. Therefore, when they were presented with the MLM opportunity, they gave it serious thought. Some of their first questions were, " Who owns the company? What kind of people are they? What have they done with their lives?" After extensive due diligence on the opportunity and company leaders, Kelly decided to enroll.

The Sacrifice and the Payoff. Because experience had shown him that he wanted a life of time-freedom and residual income, Kelly decided not to scramble after short-term financial satisfaction. For the kind of long-term stability Kelly saw that his new company would need, he determined to devote time in the beginning to build a strong foundation. Therefore, he did not focus on making money at first, but rather on vigilant training. He carefully crafted his organization so that he could share a lifetime of freedom with his family and those that rose with him. He knew that a short-term sacrifice in the beginning would soon give him a "lifetime of free-time." So far, it is working. Kelly Bangert is now a multiple seven-figure earner.
