Forever Stamps a confident move by USPS

The United States Postal service created "Forever Stamps" to make potential postage raises easier to deal with. Dealing with pesky 1-or-2 Cent Stamps upon postage increases goes away with the first-class Forever Stamp. Forever Stamps bear no monetary value, except for the word "forever" within the lower right corner. Forever stamps always 1st class

Forever Stamps can be acceptable on all USPS 1st class postal mail less than an ounce in weight starting January 14 The current postage rate will not matter. The word "forever" is on all the stamps for 2011 the USPS is coming out with instead of saying 44 cents like others. The last decade of postage increases have been a lot. There have been six increases. The current first-class postage rate will increase in 2011 if the USPS gets its way. Many do not have to worry about mailing things though since there are less individuals mailing things with Forever Stamps.

Just how much longer will there be for the USPS

Forever Stamps for all typical letters is a new policy, but the first Forever Stamp was issued in April 2007. Since then the USPS has sold 28 billion Forever Stamps and collected more than $12 billion in revenue. With all the e-mail, e-commerce and electronic bill paying, there are less individuals that are using U.S. Postal mail systems while the USPS is in significant trouble. There was a decline in United States Postal mail volume just from 2009 to 2010. It was 3.5 percent. The USPS hoped to get another 2-cent increase in postage. It said the recession and Internet were to blame. The Postal Regulatory Commission denied the request through. It also said that efficiency was what the Postal service needs to work on. The decision could be appealed soon.

2011 1st class stamps that are commemorative

The first class commemorative stamps for 2011 are very exciting. Ronald Reagan, actors, Latin musicians, and Disney's Pixar cartoon characters are all featured on them. February 10 is when the Reagan stamp will come out. In March you can get the "Latin Music Legends" series. In April you are able to see Helen Hayes to them. Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch in "To Kill A Mockingbird" is shown as well. Pixar characters from the movies "Toy Story," "Ratatouille," "Cars," "Up," and "Wall-E" will appear on Forever Stamps Aug. 19.
